Edinburgh University- ‘The End of the Church?’

The publication of ‘The End of the church?” will be the topic of live conversation this June.

A new book on the career and writings of David Jasper will be the subject of an upcoming live discussion on June 1 st at the Elizabeth Templeton Lecture Theatre.
David Jasper is an Episcopalian priest, Edinburgh’s Honorary Professor of New College and the Emeritus Professor of Literature and Theology at Glasgow University, as well as holding other academic positions around the world, including China. He has published other books such as his trilogy ‘The Sacred Body’, ‘The Sacred Desert’ and ‘The Sacred Community’.
Speaking at the event will be Elisabeth Jay, former professor of English at Oxford Brookes University. She has previously worked with Professor Jasper on their work The Oxford Handbook of English Literature and Theology, and is herself a published academic on 18 th -20 th century literature.
Also speaking will be Natalie Watson, Publishing Director for ‘Sacristy Press’ in Peterborough. She has a PhD in Theology, with a special focus on feminist theology.
The event will be held on June 1 st starting at 4pm, with a reception in the Rainy Hall from 5.30pm to 6.15pm.
