Edinburgh Bible College’s online training course to equip preachers and teachers of Scriptures is open for applicants.
Preaching has always been at the core of Christian ministry. Anyone wanting a formal training in this can sign up for a new course put together by Edinburgh Bible College.

One of our ministries through which we seek to fulfil our objective of serving the churches and equipping the saints is our school for preachers...for more than 40 years now, I have had the amazing privilege of being a preacher and teacher of God Word and I passionately believe that there is no greater privilege given to Christians, other than of course being a Christian. But next to preaching scripture, nothing gives me more joy in my ministry than helping and equipping others to become preachers and teachers themselves.
He goes on to describe his personal experience of preaching in different parts of the world, from Sudan and the UK, bringing on young men in their faith and ministry. He humbly says "I can't make anyone a preacher. Only God can do that...but I can do with God's help make someone a better preacher"
As to the course content, he explains it runs over one or two years and is held online, with monthly Zoom sessions, enabling students to study from all over the world. How to analyse and divide up a biblical text and how to construct and deliver a biblical message are covered. One to one sessions are held in the second year with individualized advice on sermons delivered in in preparation. There are also monthly group sessions for peer review.
