Edinburgh Theological Seminary open doors for 2023

The college is open to people of all church backgrounds who want to deepen their understanding of God’s word

Family and friends of students of ETS are invited to attend the inaugural service for the academic year 2023/24, to be held at St Columba’s Free Church on 4th September.

The service this September will hear from Ben Castaneda, lecturer in Greek and the New Testament, who is a graduate of St Andrews University and just last year took on his post at the site.

The College opened as a place for training Free Church ministers back in 1843, moving to its present site on The Mound in 1907. It finds its theological roots in the Scottish Reformation.

In terms of what is on offer at the College, students can do a Bachelors in Theology as an Undergraduate program, with the option to study the Biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek. Postgraduate study in Theology is also available, as well as smaller, specialized courses such as the ‘Diploma in Christian Youth Work’.

The college aims to train ministers and pastors and those who want to engage in mission, equipping them with a deeper understanding of God and his word.

More information on the College can be found at its website, here: https://ets.ac.uk/
