‘Edinburgh Festival of the Sacred Arts’ seeks budding actors
Edinburgh youngsters looking to get a foot in the theatre world can do so through a Fringe event being organized by ‘Green Shoots’ youth theatre.
In mid-August the theatre will be putting on a mini-series of Mystery Plays (Bible stories put on stage) from the Middle Ages, but including a modern twist – referencing modern events like climate change and the plight of refugees.
The play is written by Peter Holloway, a long-time actor with a BA in Theatre and the Arts and staged by Faith Sutherland, a drama teacher at Edinburgh City Council.
No experience is needed, and rehearsals will focus on learning new skills and putting on a high-quality production. Rehearsals will begin on Monday 24 th of July until Friday 11 th of August.
The play will be performed in St Vincent’s Chapel, Edinburgh on Sunday 13 th August twice, a 3pm and 5pm. Anyone wanting more information can do so by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
